Watson Urology is a speciality urological surgical practice based at the Mater Private Hospital in South Brisbane. We are seeking a bright and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to join our small, caring and dedicated clerical team. Start ASAP.

As a Medical Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a positive and welcoming experience for all patients attending our practice. This role requires excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. We are willing to invest time into supportive training and career development for an enthusiastic candidate to achieve this.

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries.
• Verify patient information and details accurately.
• Collect and process payments using electronic medical records system.
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and faxes.
• Ensure waiting areas and front desk are clean, organised, and presentable.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as scanning and data entry.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and service delivery, including surgery bookings.

• Some experience as a Medical Receptionist, or in a similar role within a healthcare setting, is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Reliable, attentive to detail and great organisational skills.
• An interest in supporting patients through their healthcare experience, empathy, compassion and professionalism.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word, and a willingness to learn medical software, is required.

• Full time employment, Monday to Friday (no weekend or Public Holidays), with immediate start.
