Cavenagh Medical Centre is a privately-owned General Practice found in the beautiful city of Darwin, and we are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team on a full-time basis.
About you:
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be a highly valuable and essential member of our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the flow of patients into and out of the clinic. You will be the first point of contact and will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day running of the practice.
The successful candidate will possess high interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service, be passionate about the healthcare industry and demonstrate an empathic approach to members of the community who are in pain or need.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Co-ordinating patient bookings;
- Communications (responding to phone calls and emails);
- Handling billings;
- Re-stocking;
- General office administration;
- Using your creativity and experience to create more efficient medical processes and procedures;
- Provide excellent service to patients on the phone and in person.

- Billing accurately and in accordance with Medicare requirements
- Billing in accordance with doctor direction
- On time billing with no billing missed on the day
- Creating invoices with 99% accuracy
- All invoices created on the day of visit
- Collecting payment on the day of visit for all non-corporate services rendered
- Adopt and add positivity to the culture of the business
- Clear communication with every customer and teammate
- Outgoing emails and faxes are sent with 100% accuracy
