Medical Receptionist

Western Cardiology is a large privately owned specialist practice, with multiple service locations throughout the metropolitan and regional area. 

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic full-time Medical Receptionist to join our team at our Mt Lawley practice.

Work hours will fall between 8.00am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required with start and finish times to meet Clinic requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Provide exceptional customer service to patients.
2. Provide meet and greet support for sessional Cardiologists.
3. Manage all patient documentation, including electronic record system, ensuring accurate data entry.
4. Promptly and courteously manage incoming phone calls.
5. Book and confirm patients for non-invasive tests in advance, providing test and billing information.
6. Generate accurate accounts and receipts, ensuring billing details are accurate.
7. Process EFTPOS transactions.
8. Conduct regular banking tasks.
9. Manage appointment bookings efficiently.
10. Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs) on clinic patients. (Alert clinical staff to adverse findings).
11. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
12. Collaborate effectively with technical and administrative staff from Western Cardiology.
13. Undertake various general office duties as required.

About You:

• Experienced in a Medical Receptionist or similar role.
• Experience in performing ECGs is desirable/but not essential.
• Accounts/patient accounts experience.
• Proficient in medical practice management software.
• Demonstrates a high level of patient care/customer service and excellent communication skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to work autonomously.
