The Role
As a Receptionist with Sportsmed NQ, you will play a pivotal part of a vibrant healthcare network. As the face of our organization, you'll have the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of individuals and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care to our community.
We are seeking a dedicated individual who is enthusiastic about contributing to our team for 20-30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to manage a flexible schedule, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic. This part-time commitment allows for a balance between work and other responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for students, parents, or anyone seeking supplemental income or experience in an allied healthcare environment.
Our clinic is part of a dynamic network comprising three local clinics, each committed to delivering top-tier healthcare services. This expansive network not only enhances our resources but also fosters a collaborative environment where ideas are shared, and professional growth is encouraged.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter our clinic.
- Manage appointment scheduling and ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and support staff to maintain efficient clinic operations.
- Handle inquiries over the phone, via email, and in person, providing helpful information and directing queries to the appropriate channels.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management to support the smooth functioning of the clinic.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a courteous and empathetic demeanour.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic medical records systems is a plus.
- A positive attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Desired (but not required):
- Allied Health/ Medical administration experience
- Experience with third party companies like NDIS and Workcover
