The Therapy Place is a private paediatric therapy practice located in Vermont. Our client base ranges in age from 0-18 years with a wide variety of developmental needs. We are a multi-disciplinary clinic consisting of speech therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, AHA’s and an incredible admin team who pride ourselves on putting our families first.
We are looking for someone to join our reception/administration team on a full time basis. The hours are 8.45am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday. The successful candidate needs to have great administration skills, the ability to multi-task and be extremely efficient. Many of our children like to ring the bell, help with payments, and help you water the plants so someone who likes children is a must.
This role carries with it a lot of responsibility and is an integral part of our practice.
We are looking for someone with:
- Friendly and vibrant personality with high regard for customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good typing and computer skills including experience in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to multitask, work independently, take initiative and be well organised.
- Understanding of confidentiality policy
- Knowledge of NDIS, Medicare and HiCAPS claiming an advantage but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client liaison – greet clients, manage waiting room, maintain client details and respond to initial referrals.
- Accounts payable – issue invoices, receipt payments, respond to client payment queries.
- Accounts receivables
- Group programs: administration portion of group and holiday programs.
- Ordering equipment as required.
- General administration tasks to support running of the clinic.

Essential Criteria:
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Current driver's license and own car.
- Working with Children's Check and police check or willingness to undertake one.
- Willingness to learn new computer software/booking system relevant to our practice.
- Passion for working with children and families and having fun!
