Medical Secretary

Dr Andy Wills ENT surgeon is seeking a person with experience in a medical environment to fill our role of Medical Secretary in a permanent part-time position in a private practice in Ultimo.

The Role:

• Part time 9am-5:30pm 2 days per week (Thursday & Friday Required)
• Provide secretarial support to a specialist surgical practice.
• Secretarial responsibilities ranging from telephone calls, making appointments, printing and sending off letters and other tasks that may be expected of a secretary working for a busy surgeon.
• All aspects of diary management.
• Private & Medicare billing & processing.
• Daily scanning of clinical documents.
• Completion of end of day reconciliation & banking preparation.
• Daily sterilising of instruments

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience working within a specialist surgical environment is preferable however not essential for the right candidate
• Previous experience with Genie Medical Software is essential
• Excellent people skills to relate well to patients, staff and healthcare professionals as well as being a team player.
• Ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication, time management and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to cover for annual and sick leave.
