A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Medical Secretary/ Administrative Assistant to work for a Multidisciplinary Specialist Practice in Fitzroy.
We specialize in Cardiology, Gastroenterology, and Infectious Diseases.
The role is permanent full time and is located in Fitzroy.
Monday - Thursday 9-5pm and Fridays 8:30- 4:30pm
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Answering incoming calls
- Patient enquiries and booking appointments.
- Responding to email enquiries/scanning
- Coordinating consulting sessions including preparation
- Managing the day-to-day billings and patient accounts
- Hospital bookings
- Providing administrative support to the Practice manager & Specialists
To be successful in the role you will need to possess the following:
- Medical experience a must, specialist practice preferred.
- Experience in Genie or Gentu, preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Forward thinking and planning
- Ability to work unsupervised/autonomously.
- Ability to work under pressure/busy environment.
- Sound administration skills including attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confidentiality and emotional intelligence
- Effective time management skills
The salary is slightly negotiable and will be commensurate with knowledge and experience.
