MEDICAL SECRETARY/ P.A
A city based Oral & Maxillofacial private practice is looking to fill an exciting and challenging role for a Personal Assistant/Medical Secretary to work directly for 2 surgeons, along with a friendly and supportive team around you.
The practice is based in new modern rooms which are at the top end of Collins Street, Melbourne.
The role of a medical P.A is of key importance for the smooth running of the practice and care of the patients
The successful person will be:
- Scheduling patient bookings and organising appointments
- Managing consulting sessions
- Organising hospital and theatre bookings
- Organising and booking of Anaesthetists
- Liaising with hospitals and their staff, health funds and external practices
- Preparing patient accounts ( including private health funds, Medicare & DVA)
- Maintaining accurate patient records & filing
- Diary management
- Receipting accounts, including banking, debtor follow-up
- Attending to correspondence
You must possess:
- Good IT skills ( knowledge of Genie an advantage)
- Experience in Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisational skills
- The ability to work within a team and also automonously
- Excellent presentation
- Professional and courteous telephone manner
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
The ideal applicant will have a proven track record within a healthcare environment, have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Have also a high level of attention to detail, also possess a flexible attitude with a warm and engaging manner
