YOU DON'T HAVE TO PUT UP WITH SHORT SHIFTS, UNPAID LONG BREAKS and SHORT-NOTICE CANCELLATIONS - WE OFFER FULL 8 HOUR SHIFTS EVERY DAYWe're looking for additional Mental Health Disability Support Workers to join our small family-run 24/7 care organisation and make a difference to people living with mild to moderate Mental Health (psychosocial) disabilities.
NO COMPLEX CARE OR HEAVY LIFTING … but you MUST be RELIABLE!

This is a STABLE and SECURE job for the right person, with 8 hour shifts either based from Rozelle (assisted boarding house) or Ryde area (group homes), you must have your own fully insured care and be willing to do 1-2 inactive sleepover shifts over the course of a fortnight.
You may be required to provide external supports to clients who don't live in one of our properties, these will be within the rostered full-day shifts.
Hours: Preferably FULL TIME hours from (but negotiable for the right candidate)
*YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING
(we can't hire you without these!)*
- Full rights to work in Australia unrestricted
- NDIS Worker Check through ServiceNSW (or be prepared to get one)
- Current police check certificate (or be prepared to get one)
- Current driver's licence
- A car to use while at work (KMs reimbursed)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- 'Assist with medication' certificate (or be prepared to get one)
- Availability to work 1-2 inactive sleepovers per week
- Availability to work rotating weekends
ESSENTIAL Criteria:
- You are RELIABLE, RESPONSIBLE and PUNCTUAL
- Experience providing Personal Care to adults (including assistance with showering, cleaning, meal preparations etc)
- Experience providing Community Access and Social Outings (one-on-one or groups up to 4 participants)
- Experience supporting adults who have a mild to moderate psycho-social (Mental Health) or intellectual disability - standard level care
- Relevant qualification or suitable work experience in Mental Health or Disability Support
- You enjoy getting to know people and have a warm and caring personality
- Excellent english language verbal and written communication skills
- A 'can do' attitude, use initiative, have enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- You think independently and sometimes outside the square to resolve a situation
- You are able to take direction to work autonomously or as part of a team
We are a small friendly team who values their co-workers' individual qualities.
There is very little, if any, complex care or heavy-lifting involved in this position.
