Allcare Community Support is a Not-for-Profit, registered NDIS provider with a mission to improve the lives of every individual who engages with our service. We are seeking Experienced, Mental Health Support Workers that embody Allcare’s values of Compassion, Care, Kindness, and Integrity. We are building a team for a 23 year old Female Participant with a preference of Female workers with clear English. Experienced workers with strong professional boundaries, has supported participants with BPD, Autism, PTSD, Childhood Trauma and Severe Self harm.

Qualifications & experience

• Minimum Certificate 3 - In Mental Health, Social Work, Nursing.
• Previous Experience Supporting Participants with Borderline Personality Disorder, Autism, PTSD, Childhood Trauma
• Previous Experience and awareness supporting participants actively participating in Severe Self harm.
• Previous Experience with Complex Behaviours.
• NDIS WORKER CHECK & WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK & POLICE CHECK
• MEDICATION ASSIST & MANUAL HANDLING & FIRST AID & CPR & INFECTION CONTROL
• AUSTRALIAN DRIVERS LICENSE & 24/7 ACCESS TO A REGISTERED AND INSURED MOTOR VEHICLE
• Must be Comfortable with Cats.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Detailed Reporting skills, of most importance to ensure we can advocate for the participant to have 1:1 SIL Support. PBS practitioner, Mental health practitioner on board and heavily involved in advocating.
• Starting Roster for current funding - 2 hours Morning for routine building. 6 hours active afternoon. 8 hours passive overnight. ( Reporting when passive turns into active)
• Sensitive information around the severity of self harm and behaviours, will be provided in thorough phone screen, group interviews and group inductions.
• All workers must have 100% commitment and reliability from the start of employment to ensure we do not trigger the participants abandonment trauma, this will result in the participant showing attention based behaviours.
• 24/7 availability required due to advocating for 1:1 SIL. The whole team built for participant will move to SIL property, no new workers to be introduced due to participants triggers.

• Offsite training prior to starting with Participant. BPD Training - How to navigate behaviors. Hospital Grade infection control. Trauma enforced training. Measuring Wound progression & clinical outcomes. Wound management & clinical photography. Detailed Q&A training with participants support plan.
• Complex Behavior's - Level 2 Higher Pay Rate - PERMANANT AND CASUAL CONTRACTS
• Career Development:Training Platform Available - Create own profile, have access to all education and certificates. L2 - High Intensity Care Theory, All Compliance refreshers, All Accredited Training.
• Monthly Team Meetings, Team Bonding Activities. Group chat available with CSC and participants support team 24/7
