SalaryMuraca Engineering Pty. Ltd., is a Metal Fabrication and Engineering firm, located in Robinvale, rural Victoria. The Company primarily serves horticultural and agricultural industries as well as performing general engineering work, as required. Muraca Engineering currently has a position available for a highly experienced Metal Machinist to join the team working within our professional and well-equipped workshop.
The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to apply their skill set across a range of projects in different sectors of the market.
Tasks Include…
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and to select appropriate equipment, consumables, tools, etc.
- Machine parts to specifications, forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances, using machine tools such as lathes and milling machines (both manual and CNC).
- Adjust machine tool guides, stops and other controls, install cutting and shaping tools and dies in machines and presses.
- Machine metal stock and castings to exact tolerances using tools for pressing, cutting, grinding, planning, boring and drilling.
- Ensure the accuracy, clearance and fit of fabricated and assembled metal parts using precision measuring instruments – (Micrometer, Caliper and Vernier Caliper).
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of machine operations and perform repairs and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.
- Manage cleanliness of workspace including machine and tools.
- Have excellent mechanical aptitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team.
- Always have a strong safety focus.
