Metal Machinist

About the role

• Based at our Kalgoorlie workshop.
• Permanent Full-time role
• Maintenance, fabrication and fitting of mining equipment.
• Kalgoorlie Residential Role (Town based no site travel. Home every night)

Salary: $55 per hour

• RUC Mining currently have an opportunity for Trade Qualified Metal Machinist to join the busy maintenance team within the Kalgoorlie workshop.

Skill and experience:

• Relevant trade qualification  
• Atleast three years of experience as machinist  
• Proven experience with CNC and manual machines preferred.
• Maintenance fitting skills in workshop
• Strong attention to detail

Key requirements

• Ability to read engineering drawings, instructions and measuring equipment.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance.
• Able to perform fitting, maintenance, and general hand duties.
• Carry out machining as per engineering drawing and or instruction.
• Operate machining equipment, overhead cranes, utilities, etc.
• Knowledge of hydraulic repair process
• Correct selection of tools and cutters for machining
• Onsite machining scopes using flange facers.
• Carry out basic assembly of components.
