This senior consulting role is with MS Azure’s largest global channel partner (by revenue)and 4th largest Microsoft reseller in Australia. Now with over 7000 consultants globally but growing locally with a tight and agile culture in Australia with excellent branding.

Due to continued growth our client is seeking a Microsoft Azure – Delivery Architect with extensive working knowledge implementing, migrating, managing, and operating systems/applications in an enterprise cloud computing environment.

You will advise a range of customers in their journey to cloud to enhance, optimise, and maintain their computing capabilities across their technical landscape. The ideal candidate should have subject matter expertise with Microsoft Azure, and experience leveraging native Microsoft tools or other tools like Cloudscape, etc, to automate the data capture process. A big part of Microsoft Cloud consultant’s role is of non-technical nature, focusing on people and process improvement, and the consultant is expected to be able to also act upon those technical recommendations.

 
Responsibilities  

• Demonstrate to customers your deep personal expertise in Cloud Solutions and Migration strategies. This includes providing CxO advice on latest Cloud Software Products and Services.
• Cloud Advisory Services (Consulting) – Cost Analysis, Technology Roadmap, Strategy and Architecture (Azure)
• Cloud Build and Migrations
• Capture all customer business requirements and pain point. This includes facilitating workshops, 1:1 sessions and if required running surveys.
• Design and develop customer solutions to address their requirements. This includes personally producing proposals, high-level design documents and statements of work.
• Guidance on the most effective way to structure customers Azure subscriptions and Azure resources.
• Hands-on expertise on subscription setup, resource group configuration, cost management, company cloud-usage policies, security setup, networking, and other items required to provide customers with a clear path to Azure.
• Pricing and costing of solutions.
• Act as a local technical lead in delivering projects working collaboratively with our offshore teams.

 
Skills & Qualifications  

• At least 8+ years of proven advanced skill-set and enterprise experience across various Microsoft and related technologies which include architecture experience in Microsoft Azure IAAS and PaaS expertise (Workloads, App Service, data, server-less)
• 5+ years of experience in the design and implementation of Hybrid Cloud solution projects involving implementing Private/Hybrid Clouds.
• 3+ years of enterprise architecture experience
• Ability to understand the business needs and propose a technology solution that addresses the associated requirements.
• Proven ability to communicate at multiple levels of a mid-size to enterprise-level organization.
• Ability to work equally as effective independently or in a team environment in delivering a project.
• Assist sales and solution sales team in driving new opportunities and educating clients on applicable cloud/technology solutions.
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Telecommunication.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
