Job description

Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.

About the role

The purpose of this role is to work in partnership with women and families who are having an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander baby with the Ngarrama MGP Program. This role will provide contemporary evidence based and family centred care that focuses on improving maternal and infant health outcomes, promoting cultural safety, and delivering culturally appropriate care throughout the pregnancy, birth, and postnatal periods. This role will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary health care team, to contribute to the well-being of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander families.
