AIC Mines owns the Eloise Copper Mine located near Cloncurry, QLD. Eloise is an underground mine with conventional crush-grind-float processing to produce a high-quality copper-gold concentrate. AIC Mines has recently commenced an expansion of the Eloise operation following the acquisition of the nearby Jericho resource. The Company also owns a portfolio copper and gold exploration projects located across Australia.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Jericho Mining Lead you will be responsible for:
- Mine design updates
- Mine scheduling a range of design options
- Integration of the Jericho Project Mine design and Scheduling into the Eloise Copper Mine systems and processes
- Daily contractor management
- Consulting with a large stakeholder group to achieve project outcomes
- Maintaining a positive and productive work culture
- Contributing to a safe and reliable operation.
This position is offered on a full time permanent basis with the opportunity and intention being the role will transfer to production and ongoing operations post project completion.
The position is FIFO to our Eloise Copper Mine from Townsville, Cairns or Brisbane. Roster is negotiable subject to operational requirements, however, a nominal 8 days on and 6 days off is preferred. Local candidates from Cloncurry or surrounding communities can commute from Cloncurry and are encouraged to apply.
When onsite, accommodation is provided onsite at the Eloise Copper Mine 65km from Cloncurry.
About You:
- A bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or similar.
- At least 2 years of mining engineering experience.
- Practical and analytical approach to engineering and design problems.
- Knowledge in underground metalliferous mining.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of mine design and scheduling using Deswik software package.
- Strong safety commitment and improvement mindset.
