- Location: Solomon Mine, rich with tradition on Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi lands.
- Roster: 8 days on, 6 off - FIFO ex Perth
- Reporting to: Mine Services Department
Be part of our groundbreaking initiative as the
Mine Services Department establishes a Contractor Workshop Facility. Your role will ensure all maintenance activities align with Fortescue's high standards and Schedule 26 requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Drive compliance with BMS obligations, managing incidents, hazards, and proactive actions.
- Lead "Field Leadership" initiatives daily, fostering a culture of safety excellence. Collaborate with contractors on process and safety enhancements.
- Uphold Fortescue's Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures.
- Mentor and support personnel in the workshop environment
- Identify and implement industry best practices.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications and Experience- Mechanical HD Mobile Plant Trade qualification
- Cert IV in Front Line Management / Project Management (desirable)
- Construction Safety Awareness Training Card
- Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance management and supervision, preferably in mining.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skill to communicate at all levels
