AddressOur client provides contract labour hire to the mining industry across regional NSW and Queensland. With over 20 years' experience in working on open cut Mine Sites, they have achieved consistent growth in their operations. Recent expansion has opened new vacancies for heavy machine cleaners to join their team in the Gunnedah/Narrabri area on an ongoing casual basis.
About the Role
In this position, you will be required to operate heavy cleaning equipment including washing trucks and high-pressure gurneys. Moving around the site, the cleaning team will clean down the heavy earthmoving vehicles throughout the da. This is a physically demanding role involving long hours in wet and muddy environments. You will be working in a team-based environment and will need to have the ability to well with others, communicate well, and ensure the team is adhering to strict safety guidelines throughout the shift.
Location: Gunnedah, NSW
Position: Heavy Machine Cleaner
Travel arrangement: DIDO (Drive in/Drive Out)
Start Date: Immediately
Roster: 3-4 shifts per week
Shift Times: 3am - 3pm or 3pm - 3am, Monday - Sunday (rotating roster)
Pay Rate: $43 p/h + Super
Contract: Casual for minimum commitment of 9 months
Requirements: Completion of pre-employment medical prior to commencing on-site.
Essential Criteria
- Physically fit
- Strong teamwork skills
- Strong communication skills
- Be willing to get wet / dirty as it is cleaning mining equipment
- Clean Police record
- Be able to pass a Drug and alcohol test
- Be able to pass pre-employment medical
- Driver's licence and reliable access to a car
- Living in the local area, or able to relocate
