Quasar Electrical are currently seeking Mining Electricians to join a committed work team working various sites in the Hunter Valley Region.
Multiple rosters available including Lifestyle, 4-Panel, Lifestyle (Dayshift Only), 4 Day Weeks & 5 Day Weeks.
The roles differ depending on site and roster and include preventative maintenance, service and repairs on electric/mechanical drive haul trucks, excavators & other ancillary equipment as well as project related installation works of fleet mining technology systems.
The role will be responsible for supporting the achievement of safety and production targets by providing high quality and timely services.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing safe, effective and efficient electrical services to our clients
- Communicate effectively to production, maintenance and engineering personnel on project, maintenance and breakdown issues with a 'can do' attitude and working as a team to develop appropriate solutions.
- Scheduled Maintenance on infrastructure, heavy mobile & fixed plant
- Field Service Maintenance on infrastructure, heavy mobile & fixed plant
- Breakdown support as required
Essential Criteria:
- Electrical Trade Certificate (Qualified Supervisors/Contractors License)
- NSW Class C Drivers License
- Communicate effectively in verbal and written contexts
- Work effectively across a team of maintenance and mining personnel, follow procedure and use initiative to drive continuous improvement
- Demonstrated capability to manage risk with commitment to safe work practices
- Present in a fit for purpose manner which requires participation in random drug and alcohol testing
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with Liebherr, CAT, Hitachi & Komatsu highly regarded
- Experience with CAT SIS & ET
- Experience with Operational Technology Systems associated with mobile plant (Modular, Hexagon, IVCS, Wireless Ethernet)
- Order 43 Medical completed within last 12 months
- ARC Refrigerant Handling License (Mobile AC)
- Working at Heights Qualification
- LVR/CPR Certificate
