About your team:
Business Solutions and Technology (BS&T) are responsible for all software related business analysis, business solutions, in-house software development, telephony, IT Services and Infrastructure. We deliver business as usual activities and innovation driven initiatives that provide efficiencies to the broader organisation. This role reports to the Director, Technology Partnerships & Architecture within BS&T.
Business Solutions and Technology (BS&T) team has redesigned its operating model to partner with our business stakeholders to deliver the Technology Refresh and Modernisation and Improvement programs.
Your contribution:
As the Modernisation and Improvement Program Manager you will apply your enthusiasm for ICT governance to underpin the success of DHA’s ICT Modernisation and Improvement Program. You will hold accountability for the program’s ICT governance processes, policies, templates, and actively work to champion process improvements. As a part of this role, you will also embed a governance culture across DHA’s future ICT initiatives, and work in alignment with the corporate PMO. Your contribution will include ensuring consistency in project methodologies, tracking portfolio delivery including resource utilisation, contribute to new work prioritisation, and facilitating M&IP project board meetings.
You will also apply a proactive approach to building effective relationships with project managers, the Technology Partnerships Office, and people in key management roles across the organisation.
Skills to be successful in this role:
Demonstrated ability to influence, engage, negotiate and build relationships with key stakeholders to deliver strategic portfolio management outcomes aligned to whole-of-organisation requirements in the context of delivering a technology program.
The skillset to promote and improve relationships and partnerships across the organisation to drive collaboration and change.
Demonstrated excellent presentation, workshop facilitation and interpersonal skills at senior leadership and executive levels.
Proven experience in prioritising business needs within whole-of-organisation requirements and aligned to strategic objectives.
Proven experience and history in human centred design, and the ability to apply critical thinking to deconstruct problems with an emphasis on strategic and tactical objectives.
Demonstrated well developed ability to apply structured collaboration tools and techniques including mapping business process, creating, and interpreting user journeys and conceptualising information to construct visual models.
