The Role
The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring the Claims Department delivers the required performance by providing leadership, development and coaching of the team, implementing process improvements and embedding a collaborative culture and effective frameworks to achieve service levels and improvements against set targets whilst mitigating losses.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of claims processors, fosteringmela collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Oversee the end-to-end claims processing workflow, ensuring accuracy, adherence to guidelines, and timely resolution.
- Analyse and resolve complex claims issues, providing guidance to team members as needed.
- Monitor team performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve processes, streamline operations, and enhance customer experience.
- Act as a point of escalation for escalated claims and customer concerns, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Skills and experience:
- Proven track record of leadership and people management, ideally in a claims or insurance-related environment.
- Strong understanding of claims processing procedures, insurance regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and implement process improvements.
