The role:
- Coordinate and lead the statewide Move Well Eat Well (MWEW) program activity.
- Coordinate and implement Move Well Eat Well (MWEW) program governance, planning, evaluation and reporting processes.
- Manage Move Well Eat Well (MWEW) program budget and resources.
- Facilitate a collaborative approach with team members and across teams statewide to achieve positive outcomes for Move Well Eat Well (MWEW) and improve the health and wellbeing of children.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships across State and Commonwealth governments, the community sector and other relevant stakeholders.

The Team:
- Public Health Services in the Tasmanian Department of Health works with government and communities to protect and promote good health and prevent disease and injury. We value an inclusive, diverse and supportive workplace and prioritise the health and wellbeing of our staff.
- Move Well Eat Well (MWEW) supports Tasmanian primary schools and early childhood settings to implement whole-of setting approaches to nutrition and physical activity. Aligned with the World Health Organisation’s Health Promoting Schools Framework, the program addresses school and centre policies, partnerships, and curriculum.
- In 2024, Move Well Eat Well is undergoing a refresh, involving collaboration with stakeholders to update program processes, support, and resources.
Details of Appointment
Fixed term, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2025

Location: Hobart. Tasmania
Salary: $104,756 to $118,730 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
