Program Coordinator (Volunteer & Social Support Coordination) 

Full-time position 38 hours per week - immediate start

12 Month Contract – possible extension

Mersey Community Care (MCCA) is a leader in delivering aged and disability services across the North West Coast of Tasmania and we are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Program Coordinator to join our dynamic team. 

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about social and economic issues that impact aged people, younger persons with a disability and their carers and knowledge and experience working in the Commonwealth Home Support Program and the State Home and Community Care Program would be an advantage.

It is preferred but not essential that applicants have experience in program coordination, development, facilitation, delivery of training programs, and experience in employee recruitment processes and procedures.

• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent IT skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent data entry and report writing skills
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively within a team environment
• Previous experience in the aged and disability sector 
• Previous experience in program coordination
• Previous experience working with or coordinating volunteers

Qualifications and Certificates:

• Diploma in Community, Aged or Disability Services, or the equivalent of - preferred, but not essential
• Current Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) card
• Schedule 1 National Police Certificate
• Drivers Licence
