Multicultural Mental Health Coordinators are employed by local Mental Health services and respond to the needs of consumers from diverse cultural backgrounds at a local level. The role of Multicultural Mental Health Coordinator is to deliver high-level clinical services and leadership to achieve better health outcomes for clients from a multicultural background with a Mental Health disorder or substance use, and/or at risk of developing mental illness.About the TeamMental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs ServiceThe Mental Health and AOD Service is comprised of eight clinical teams across the MHHS. The Mental Health Service is responsible for the provision of comprehensive, specialised Mental Health assessment and treatment services across the age-spectrum for people with severe and complex Mental Health problems. Our services aim to be consumer focused and recovery oriented and are provided in a variety of settings including community, an acute inpatient unit, hospitals and emergency departments.Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development TeamStaff members of the Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development Team, work within a multidisciplinary team framework to deliver high quality services safely and with a robust culture of continuing improvement. Staff work collaboratively with each other and with consumers, their families/carers and external service providersAbout our Hospital and Health Servicehas 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
