About our opportunity
We are on the search to fill multiple casual Museum and Gallery Assistant opportunities!
As a Museum and Gallery Assistant, you will be contributing to routine gallery and museum operations, installing our diverse exhibitions, and assisting with exciting public programs and events - your duties will be varied!
The successful candidates may be required to work across the following locations:
- Redcliffe Museum
- Pine Rivers Heritage Museum
- Bribie Island Seaside Museum
- Pine Rivers Art Gallery
- Caboolture Regional Art Gallery
- Redcliffe Art Gallery
This position requires the successful applicant to be available to work any 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours.
Our Museum and Galleries team is part of our Cultural Services Department, focused on providing engaging leisure and learning experiences by connecting people to resources and each other. We strive for excellence when delivering exhibitions, information, collections, programs and spaces for our community and visitors.

About you
We are seeking expressions of interest from passionate candidates with a genuine interest in being a positive member of our Cultural Services team and in providing exceptional service to customers!
Ideal candidates will be familiar with the operations of a visitor-focused cultural facility and have well-developed skills and experience in exhibition installation, art and object handing, and front desk experience.
You will hold a valid Qld Working with Children blue card or be eligible and willing to obtain prior to commencement.

Hours of Work
- Galleries are open to the public Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.
- Museums are open to the public Wednesday to Friday, 10am to 4pm; Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 3pm.
In addition to open to the public hours, there can be need to work the hours of install (Monday to Friday 8am to 3pm) as well as the individual requirements of events and programs.
