About the position:
The House Manager will oversee the operation of their allocated proproes with the support of the Service Manager and Director to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of our Supported Independent Living Home.
- Leading and modelling effective person-centred practices, including working individually with participants, planning and delivering work per care plans, providing support to families and carers, and working with local service providers.
- Supporting the team in providing high-quality services in line with participant schedules, care plans, goals, and outcomes.
- Provide effective onboarding, site orientation, and training to new employees, supporting their engagement and learning journey.
- Conduct regular team meetings and monthly supervision to assess the performance of each team member.
- Coordinate on-site support and review incidents and complaints.
- Ensure staff work within the Code of Conduct and Quilly policies, and procedures.
About you:
- Cert III in individual support or community services with a minimum 2 years experience in Supported Independent Living (SIL) and a strong understanding of NDIS.
- Hold a QLD Drivers Licence with a reliable vehicle and comprehensive insurance.
- Hold a NDIS workers screening check, blue card and recent police check.
- Hold first aid & CPR.
- Capacity to effectively lead, coach, and develop a team to achieve the best quality service outcomes.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team, incorporating effective planning, time management, problem-solving, organisational skills, resourcing, and achieving quality outcomes.
- Ability to plan and prioritise to meet customer service delivery requirements.
- An understanding of available community services, networks, and supports.
- Experience with behavioural management plans, restrictive practices and behaviours of concerns / high medical needs, manual handling, and medications.
- Empathy and passion to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
- A sound understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding framework.
