Power Bay Pty Ltd has an opportunity for a motivated and professional Business Development Manager to join our growing Renewable Energy Solutions business in Brisbane within our Heat Pump division.

The purpose of the role is to launch our new Air Sourced Heat Pump range for Hot Water solutions to households and drive the growth of Power Bay Heat Pump sales nationally. The role will be ideally based in Brisbane (Sydney&Melbourne location considered), with regular travel required to Sydney and Melbourne to develop distribution relationships. The key activities are outbound calling and relationship management to grow the B2B sales channel for our Heat Pump range. Extensive Business Development will be required in the initial months of this tool, with training and technical support provided to achieve success.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Business Development activities via phone, social media and face/face engagement with potential B2B distribution channels for our Heat Pumps
- Delivering the channel strategy for the long-term success of the Power Bay Heat Pump business in Australia
- Be the resident expert on the Heat Pump market in Australia, including competitors’ range, government incentives (ie. STC, VEEC, ESC), installation costs and challenges, customer purchase journeys, target markets, etc to deliver the sales targets of our Heat Pumps
- Identify and contact the potential B2B distributors and provide management with a 30/60/90 day Business Development plan, including travel schedule to achieve the sales targets in collaboration with the head office team
- As appropriate, engage with government and industry bodies to keep our product on all the product lists nationally. Also ensure Power Bay is represented at the key trade shows nationally to position our product within the Industry
- Collaboration is critical, as we are a small team and are looking for a achievement focused BDM that can work with our head office team to grow this new product line
A successful candidate will have:
- Detailed knowledge of air sourced Heat Pump technology, including industry experience selling these products or similar Heat Pump hydronic heating /cooling system
- Trade qualifications in HVAC industries would would be an advantage
- Qualification in Business or Sales is desirable
- Proven experience with successfully implementing sales strategies, & Business Development plans driving sales
- (B2B) Business to Business sales experience
- Sound computer skills (Outlook, Excel, CRM etc)
- Ability to work in a “team” environment to deliver team outcomes
- Ability to form strong business relationships that translate into long term customer loyalty and repeat sales
- Achievement focused with the ability to articulate a 30/60/90 day Business Development plan for success
