The National Business Development Manager (N-BDM) is responsible for delivering new business revenue in our Corporate and Specialty Retail channels. This channel includes Government, Defence Industry, Education, Mining and non-traditional retail channels.
In addition to winning and on-boarding new businesses of scale, the N-BDM will be responsible for supporting the National Account team to manage these large new businesses.
What you’ll do● Canvas new business opportunities across Corporate and Specialty retail channels
● Coordinate & communicate with all relevant internal departments including logistics & distribution, accounts, marketing, creative & operations.
● Achieve revenue, margin and contribution targets for new business
● Build campaigns and promotions with key customers, aligning our internal campaigns with key customer groups.
● Meeting with Merchandise and Category Managers, Franchises and Group Marketing Managers to plan, monitor and review activity.
● Development and implementation of QTRLY business reviews, category reviews and joint customer plans as required
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of all work including pitches and tenders for Corporate new business.
● Drive brand & culture consistency across all touch points.
● Analysis of results and insights to improve overall strategy for Corporate channel
● Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
● Always challenge the status quo & innovate.
● Any other duties as reasonably required or directed
Qualifications
● Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or like field desirable
● Current AU drivers’ licence
Experience
Essential:
● 4 years’ experience in FMCG / Catering account management and/or Business Development
● Track record in developing, pitching and WINNING new business in Corporate channel
● Track record in on-boarding new business of scale
● Experience in Food Service and Catering highly regarded
