ABOUT THE ROLE
The National Club Development & Experience Managers scope includes umpires, coaches and club volunteers across the community football network. In developing coordinated and integrated strategies across these areas the role will work to ensure that match day and club environments provide experiences
and opportunities that drive retention and recruitment into these segments. This role is critical to ensuring fit for purpose content across community football and the most effective delivery network of that information
The location of this role is flexible across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
- Setting the strategy for community football across coaching (of players and umpires), umpiring, club development and match day environments
- Directly lead a national team to deliver on the strategy and work with team members from across the country to implement a great experience for community coaches, umpires and volunteers
- Overseeing the approach to community coach development and retention
- Leading the strategy to recruit, develop and retain community umpires and umpire coaches
- Developing initiatives to improve match day environments
- Overseeing the strategy to support Club volunteers
- Working with the participation team on transition between participation programs and community football
- Overseeing a coordinated and simplified approach to communication to Leagues, Club volunteers, coaches, umpires, and players
- Ensuring there is a focus on driving diversity in all areas of community football
- Support and contribute to the success of the broader Game Development team

- Significant experience working across complex and high-profile stakeholders
- Skilled in strategic thinking and the development and implementation of strategic projects
- Experience working across multiple streams of work
- Understanding of community football or similar in another sport
