Club Menangle is Australia's premier harness racing and events complex operating both Menangle Trackside and Menangle Country Club.

We are currently seeking a passionate and engaging individual to join our Marketing Team as our Business Development Manager.

 The successful candidate will play a key role in the following areas

• Working with the GM Marketing, design and implement the sales strategy and sales toolkit to deliver and/or exceed on sponsorship and functions & events revenue targets
• Create proposals, negotiate sales prices, and secure sponsorship and events contracts based on targeted strategic revenue requirements
• In consultation with the GM Marketing and GM Hospitality establish a sales toolkit that can be promoted across Club Menangle channels
• Establish relationships with current partners and seek out opportunities for upsell
• Proactively identify and connect with prospective customers to promote Club Menangle’s products and achieve sales targets
• Maintain long-term partner relationships that deliver a ROI
• Build long term relationships with event planners to promote the hire of Club Menangle facilities for use by third party entertainment organizations and actively convert leads
• Proactively promote and convert sales for Club Menangle’s hospitality services
• Provide transparent reporting in the progress towards sales targets
• Manage all in-bound sales enquiries
• Conduct structured sales calls and site visits to showcase Club Menangle’s portfolio of products

You should possess the following skills and experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or a relevant discipline and/or minimum 5 years sales experience
• Proven experience in sales and/or Business Development role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Creative mindset
• Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast paced and dynamic work environment
