Custom-built for multi-day conferencing and gala events, at Saints Event Centre we provide full-service event solutions with premium facilities such as pre-function and breakout areas, multiple restaurants, lounges, sports bar, one of the best outdoor terraces in Sydney, four-star globally branded accommodation and free on-site parking for delegates and guests. In addition, the Club also offers the Boronia Showroom, “The Deck” in our outdoor terrace, St Marys Leagues Stadium and Corporate Area and two meeting rooms at the Holiday Inn Sydney St Marys.
We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to prospect new business for conferences and events and hotel accommodation while maintaining relationships with our existing clients.
You will be required to:
- Actively seek out new business opportunities that will contribute to increased account production for MICE, Wedding, Social & Corporate Meeting segments.
- Negotiate with key accounts and specific key market segments on a local basis.
- Sourcing, negotiating and converting corporate, group and inbound contracts to maximise sales and revenue targets for the Hotel.
- Establish a high profile across all market segments by maintaining excellent relationship with clients via sales call patterns and regular communication.
- Account management of account portfolio
- Conduct site inspections and client entertainment both on and off property.
- Attend trade shows, Industry functions and exhibitions to ensure a high profile for the Club & Hotel.
Ideally, you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years in a similar role within the Hotel/travel/tourism and conference & event market
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- A proactive, goal driven mindset.
- Be available to work some weekends, in line with events and marketing activities.
