National Design & Services Manager - Tier 2 Commercial Construction

Our client is a renowned Australian construction company, delivering excellence in building, development, and project management for over 40 years. 
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Design and Services Manager to join the team. Working alongside the National Construction Manager, you will oversee and manage the design and services for all projects across Australia. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Design Managers and Service Managers across Australia to ensure systems and processes are understood and effeciently implemented on all projects to achieve the stated project objectives.
• Oversee the development and implementation of design strategies, ensuring alignment with project goals and company standards.
• Work closely with People & Culture team to implement training, employee engagement and awareness programs.
• Mentor and provide performance feedback to Design Managers. 
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate design and construction processes.
• Oversee workforce resource planning and project allocation for Design Management team members.
• Work with State Managers to support the recruitment of Design Managers and Service Managers.
• Continuously improve design processes and methodologies to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years experience in Design and Project management with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Building Contractor.
• Proven record working on large-scale projects such as commercial, industrial, health, data centres etc. $5mil+.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Experienced with cost planning and pricing value management strategies.
• Competent using Aconex, Bluebeam, and other construction software programs.
• Advanced user of CAD and BIM technology.
• In-depth knowledge of construction regulations, codes, and standards.
• Proficiency in design and project management software.
