What you will do in the role
- Lead and inspire a team of Field Sales Managers to drive fresh insights and ideas for our retail consumer brands
- Use effective team scheduling and coverage to ensure deliverables are met on time
- Act as the primary conduit between the vendor, Dicker Data and retailers
- Be a brand advocate to increase sales at store-level across a defined NSW/VIC/QLD territory via merchandising displays and shelf management
- Work collaboratively with vendors and internal sales teams to set up attractive retail sales displays to showcase our products and relevant promotions
- Execute merchandising plans and strategies
- Drive merchandising opportunities with retailers to maximise in-store sales exposure of the product range
- Monitor and manage consumer stock inventory levels through reporting and market trend analysis
- Proactively identify any current or potential barriers affecting sales and communicate these to the sales team, and manage any escalations from team members
- Build and strengthen unparallel working relationships with vendors and retailers to maximise sales, growth and profitability
- Work closely with retailers to ensure in-store compliance is met
- Understand vendor products and processes and the overall retail dynamic ecosystem
- Stay informed with initiatives relating to price breaks and promotions and implement effectively at store level
- Set expectations and KPIs for your team members, leading them to meet and exceed targets
- Proactively manage career direction and develop skill sets of your team member
What you will need to succeed in the role
- Retail visual merchandising experience essential
- Prior people management experience and the confidence to manage team members remotely
- Consumer electronic hardware retail experience highly regarded
- Experience with merchandise planning and strategy
- Reporting and analysis capabilities
- Creative flair and ability to think outside the box
- Excellent face-to-face customer service and relationship building skills
- Self-motivated and driven to go the extra mile with a service orientation mindset
- Team player, but can also work autonomously as required
- Professional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proactive/problem solving/analytical
- High attention to detail and ability to multi task
- Works well in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to travel within NSW and interstate to QLD/VIC; must have current driver’s licence, a clean driving record and own vehicle
- Understanding of distribution environment beneficial
