Job Description
The National HR Manager is responsible for leading the HR Function; supporting the development, implementation and evaluation of people initiatives across HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, People Strategy and Culture.
Reporting into the Head of HR and Training, this role partners with business leaders to understand their needs and barriers, providing tailored support in managing people related issues. They create tailored strategies and interventions, unlocking potential and creating value by providing trusted advice to business leaders. The National HR Manager supports current and future business needs by overseeing the delivery of the Adecco DFR People Strategy in alignment with the Adecco and DFR goals and values, ensuring alignment with legal and policy requirements.
You will:
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and initiatives that enable a high performing, inclusive, effective and legally compliant workforce.
- Develop and deliver programs and initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Partnering with the HR Leads, develop and provide trusted advice to the business aligned with the Adecco DFR People Strategy, DFR strategy and key objective results for DFR.
- Oversee Talent Acquisition efforts, ensuring the identification of recruitment marketing channels, job posting optimisation and social media strategies, whilst assuring both targets and business needs are met.
- Oversee Employee Relations, addressing concerns and promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Provide advice on Industrial Relations matters, ensuring accurate and timely advice is provided to leadership and line areas, and compliance with all relevant legislation
- Working closely with the Head of HR & Training to determine and evaluate the strategic direction of HR business functions, ensuring alignment with the Adecco and our Commonwealth client.
- Manage the escalation and decision making for key people issues, partnering with people managers to resolve and minimise risk, providing trusted and accurate advice on queries relating to performance management, HR policy, employment legislation, remuneration and regulatory compliance.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Manage the annual performance appraisals and remuneration reviews to drive employee development and organisational success.
- Develop, manage and maintain a positive client relationship through the provision of services that meet or exceed the expectations of Defence and the DFR Adecco contract, further encouraging a strong and ongoing relationship between Adecco and the Commonwealth of Australia.

Your background will demonstrate:
- Seasoned professional with demonstrated experience in end to end Human Resources management
- Proficient in developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with organisational goals and objectives
- Skilled in overseeing all aspects of HR operations, including recruitment, training, reporting, HR information system management, performance management, and employee relations
- Strong leadership abilities with the capability to lead and mentor HR teams across multiple locations
- Experienced in ensuring compliance with labour laws, regulations, and company policies
- Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of fostering positive workplace culture and employee engagement
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse HR metrics and data to drive informed decision-making
- Adaptable and resourceful, able to thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments
- Dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace
