Job description

Position Summary: The Sales Manager for the Coles/WWS Business will report to the National Business Manager and be responsible for managing selected categories within the Coles/WWS business. The role involves building long-term relationships with key customers, focusing on achieving sales and profit objectives in line with company goals and delivering on KPIs.
Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Objectives:
    • Achieve strategic objectives with trade partners, including net revenue, trade spend, gross margin, scan market share, and product & placement share.
    • Manage and develop the Coles/WWS Business to ensure continued growth through effective sales strategies and spending management.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Develop strong and lasting business partnerships with key customers.
    • Manage the P&L within the assigned brand responsibility.
    • Execute customer promotional programs and negotiate promotions internally.
  3. Sales and Market Analysis:
    • Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and portray product success.
    • Introduce and maintain products in the market, ensuring a competitive edge.
  4. Operational Excellence:
    • Manage in-store activities through third-party merchandisers, specifically Strikeforce.
    • Prepare presentations for regular reviews and contribute to continuous improvement in category management.
  5. Account Efficiency and Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for efficiency, profitability, and overall improvement in the management of categories.
    • Proactively work towards continuous improvement in Account Management.
About You:
  • Exposure to Account Management in the Grocery sector.
  • Exceptional relationship development skills, with the ability to build strong rapport.
  • Strong negotiation and selling skills.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to develop measurable strategies.
  • Strong Excel skills are essential.
  • Commercial understanding of business issues and opportunities.
  • Highly motivated, with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Proactive, organized, and passionate about success.
