What is the role?

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a National Business Manager - Metcash & Distributors to join our close-knit Snackfoods Sales team.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, in this role, you will be responsible for the direct account management of the Metcash & Distributors portfolio across the Snackfoods brands - Cobs, Poppin and Lollygobble.

The key priorities for this position is delivering the budgeted sales and profit target through strategic partnership and execution of key business objectives with Independents and Distributors account.

The role has autonomy in leading the Metcash national, state and MSO customer engagement strategy, whilst also leading joint business plans with a selected number of distributor partners to deliver the sales and profit targets for the Kinrise Independent retail channel. The role will also lead engagement and execution planning of a 3rd party field service provider to support the channel execution strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full P&L ownership and management of all Kinrise Snackfoods Metcash & Distributor business 
  • Build tactical and strategic account plans including pricing and promotion, range reviews, trade plans and account focus plans.
  • Develop a new business pipeline and strategy across identified channels in line with strategic business priorities. 
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including operations, marketing, and finance to execute agreed product strategies for growth.   
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes including delivery of budgeted sales and profit targets for the Metcash & Distributor accounts
  • Position Kinrise as a growth partner and “supplier of choice”  
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring effective customer interactions across merchandise, supply and development teams within the customer universe.
  • Partnering with your customer base to grow our footprint within their business.
  • Work collaboratively and closely with various internal stakeholders and teams to execute the strategic account plan.

Our ideal candidate will be a driven customer champion who is a real chaser of opportunities with proven ability to deliver on mutually positive outcomes for both business and retailer, whilst building and fostering productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • At least 4-6 years FMCG experience in a similar account management role
  • Proven experience managing and growing accounts in the Independents and Distributors channel.
  • Resilient in challenging or ambiguous situations with proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive, agile environment
  • Proven track record in sales and customer relationship management
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to drive positive business outcomes
