About the roleReporting to the General Manager, Alpine Nurseries is looking to appoint a
National Sales Manager who will lead a dynamic team of committed and dedicated sales professionals, who are focused on delivering exceptional results.As the
National Sales Manager, you will have a strong focus on coaching and developing your four direct reports and ~20 sales representatives to meet and exceed targets. You will possess the gravitas, experience, and track record to motivate an already experienced group of sales experts - this is the real key to success in this role!You will demonstrate to your team the value of growing and maintaining strong client relationships, providing consistently exceptional customer service, and quickly remedying errors when they arise.In close consultation with the GM and your team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Sales and Marketing strategies that target profitable sales growth year on year for existing customers in each channel.You will provide input into sales forecast/production planning meetings and provide insights on plant trends and changes in customer demand.You will ideally possess:
- Experience leading Sales teams in a fast paced and challenging environment.
- A business development mindset, identifying and growing existing and new customer opportunities.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing solidly performing sales teams to become exceptional.
- The ability to build strong working relationships with a variety of internal & external stakeholders.
- Experience developing and executing sales strategies with demonstrated success.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks and seasonally driven deadlines.

- Knowledge of horticulture (plants) would be ideal.
- Highly developed communication skills.
- Strong organisational abilities with proactive follow-through.
