Natural Areas Environment Officer We are looking for a suitably qualified Natural
Areas Environment Officer to join the team. You will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing plans and strategies that contribute to the conservation of the natural environmental values of Glenorchy City, including planning, undertaking, and monitoring on-ground works. The role will also provide expert technical advice on natural environment matters to internal staff across the organisation, including the provision of strategy, procedural and planning advice as directed.
The successful applicant will:Develop and review the Recreation and Environment Section’s Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) Risk Assessments (RA), and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
Support Council’s Natural Areas Engagement Officer and the Environmental Volunteer ProgramProvide strategic environmental input into Planning Scheme amendments
Qualifications required: Authorised officer under the Weed Management ActAuthorised officer of Wellington ParkPosition Hours: Full-Time, 75 hours fortnight. Salary range: $75,459.94 to $84,927.92 plus superannuation
