Brief Summary of role:
The NDIS Support Coordinator is responsible for establishing a positive and collaborative relationship with NDIS participants, guardians, key service providers, and stakeholders to identify, link and coordinate support services.
They provide Support Coordination to Kalano’s NDIS Participants and have overall responsibility to ensure the implementation of person-centred planning and practices including assisting clients to build skills, overcome barriers and achieve goals and aspirations. This will include access to community, social and recreational activities that promotes improved lifestyle choices, specialist and therapeutic services coordination.
The ideal applicant will have a strong understanding of the NDIS and experience working within the disability industry.
Renumeration package:
Employment Type: Full Time Maternity Leave Cover for 10months
Salary Range: $80,940.04 p.a (pro-rata)
Entitlements/Benefits: 6 Weeks Annual Leave + 2 Weeks Sick Leave + 2 Weeks Ancillary Leave + 1 RDO per Month
Location: Kalano’s NDIS Office – Katherine, NT.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week – 7.5 hours per day [Monday to Friday | 08:00am – 4:30pm]
The successful applicant should posses the following;
• Local Aboriginal Community and cultural knowledge, as well as experience working with Indigenous people
• Understanding of the barriers and challenges that Indigenous people face in the NT
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, staff and stakeholders
• Sound computer software experience
• experience working with NDIS software considered highly valuable
• Experience working in Disability Services and providing Support Coordination for clients
• Current NT drivers licence, working with children’s clearance and willingness to undertake a National Police check.
