We are currently looking for a NDIS Team Leader.As a NDIS Team Leader you will coordinate assistance for participants to build capacity and resilience through strong and respectful relationships. The Team Leader role allows you to bring your passion and creativity to ensure excellence in all customer-related activities.Utilise your in depth knowledge of supporting and developing teams, ensuring NDIS compliance, protocols around medication, reporting requirements and restrictive practices; keeping in line with Aberstone's value of 'your life, your way'.Preferred Candidate:Will have a strong history in working with people with serious and persistent mental health conditions
Has a self-directed passion and drive for the mental wellbeing sector and can provide capacity-building activities for the people they support
A compassionate and collaborative approach to their work
Enjoy finding innovative solutions to complex situations
Employee essentials:A tertiary qualification in peer work or mental health (minimum of Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or Certificate IV in Mental Health) or equivalent training and/or;
At least 2 years experience in a similar role working with people with a chronic and persistent mental illness, and working with their family;
Experience within and understanding of relevant mainstream and community support services;
Demonstrated ability to operate within organisational and legislative guidelines, procedures and policies;
Build and sustain strong collaborative relationships with government and non-government bodies, service providers, allied health professionals, and practitioners.
Ability to build participant's capacity to self-direct, self-advocate, work with professionals and other supports, and manage their lives and their NDIS plan the way they choose.
Ensure NDIS ethics and professionalism are maintained.
Compliance necessities:NDIS Screening Check, we can supply the employee endorsed code if needed
Current Western Australia Driver's Licence;
Reliable and roadworthy motor vehicle to travel to customers' homes and assist them to access the community, including comprehensive motor vehicle insurance and registration;
Working with Children Card;
Current First Aid Certificate
Current CPR Certificate
NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate;
