In this role You will be responsible for:
- Installs and maintains hardware and software like MS office, Adobe etc.
- Ensure that all systems are up-to-date and functioning optimally.
- Maintain detailed records of network issues and their solutions for future reference and improvement.
- Manage user passwords, security protocols, and inventory documentation to uphold network integrity and safeguard sensitive information.
- Ensure the efficient performance of servers, printers, and personal computers, proactively monitoring and optimizing their operation to minimize disruptions and downtime.
- Attend to other operational tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in addressing various network-related requirements.
- Manage hardware and software associated with the network.
- Monitor the performance, availability, and health of the fiber optic network using various monitoring tools and techniques.
- IdentifY and resolve network issues, such as connectivity problems, bandwidth issues, and equipment failures.
- Plan and execute network upgrades and expansion to accommodate growth and technology advancements.
- May also perform additional tasks such as help desk support and user training, contributing to the overall effectiveness and functionality of the network infrastructure.
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- 2 plus years’ experience as Network Administrator.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting users with applications and network connectivity in timely and effective manner.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
