Australia’s favourite theme parks, Dreamworld & WhiteWater World and the iconic SkyPoint Observation Deck and Climb present a rare and exciting career opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic Network and Systems Administrator to join our passionate and driven team.  

Reporting to the ICT Manager you will have experience designing, building and maintaining network infrastructure and supporting a wide variety of IT systems and services. Whilst your primary responsibility will be network administrator, you will have an opportunity to express your general IT expertise and troubleshooting skills across a broad range of technologies including CCTV, VMWare, Linux and general IT security solutions. You will also be instrumental in ensuring the policies, procedures and standards across the business are implemented correctly and allow for seamless IT services.

Key activities and responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and test all network related equipment across a multi-vendor environment to ensure a highly available and efficient network.
• Manage network security devices such as Palo Alto firewalls, IDS, SIEM’s etc to maintain a secure network environment.
• Maintain network performance by performing monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendors.
• Work as part of a team to manage a hybrid Active Directory environment alongside WMware and AWS infrastructure to maintain a highly available environment for business wide operations.
• Promote high standards through team collaboration and peer review.
• Lead and mentor other team members.

Successful candidates must have:

• A minimum of five years’ experience as a Network and Systems Administrator with hands on experience in an enterprise environment, and a thorough knowledge of IT and networking concepts.
• Well developed problem solving and prioritisation skills with the ability to analyse issues efficiently to find a solution.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as Multicast, RSTP, Virtual Chassis and fibre optic networks.
• Experience with Juniper, Brocade, Palo Alto, VMWare, Linux and Windows Server management will be highly regarded.
• Experience in leading and motivating team members, and the capacity to transfer skills and knowledge.
• Passionate about technology and networking, and commercial acumen including a sound knowledge of Retail and Finance related Information Technology environments.
