The Role:
The Network Data Officer is responsible for processing changes to EQL’s transmission and distribution networks within the Network Data division. In this role, you will create, maintain, and update various databases to maintain and improve the quality and alignment of the network assets.
So, what does that look like day to day?
You will be responsible for inputting key data sets for geospatial and electrical connectivity using the geographical information system (GIS), asset management system, and other corporate databases as appropriate. You will interact with a range of internal stakeholders to conduct activities such as investigating data discrepancies or amending the as-constructed plan to reflect spatial changes or asset attributes.
The team are located in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Hervey Bay, Brisbane, and Toowoomba, so no matter where you live, you will have the support and
guidance of a team member. The preference is for someone to work a 9-day fortnight, but both options will be considered.

About You:
In addition to having an Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Electrical or Geospatial) and/or an electrical trade background, you will also have a good understanding of electrical connectivity and the legislation we operate within.
You have experience in a data-management role inputting electrical and/or geospatial information. You will be someone who has proven capability to investigate and use critical thinking to solve problems, ability to manage competing priorities, and show good attention to details. You are capable of interpreting and understanding large quantities of data, and can create solutions even when information may be missing.
You are agile and dynamic in your approach to work, and can be reactive to incoming requirements as and when needed, but also can work to set deadlines.
