Network / System Engineer

The Client:

Due to business requirements our client is looking for a talented Network/System Engineer to help deliver network engineering and monitoring services to support the operations of their businesses, and their extended customer base, as well as facilitate the implementation of infrastructure projects.

This is a 12 month contract, flexible 2 days hybrid in office in Melbourne CBD.

You must be ready to join within 2 weeks, the earlier the better of course.

What you'll do:

• In charge of deploying and managing network hardware, software, and monitoring systems.
• Conducting assessments of network requirements and participating in the design, integration, and setup of hardware and software.
• Regularly monitor the network to assess its functionality.
• Examine network traffic to pinpoint capacity and performance issues.
• Address network incidents promptly and execute approved migration measures to maintain business operations.

What you'll need:

• Solid networking background with 5+ Years' experience in operations support.
• Current Cisco CCNP certification required.
• Designing and deploying complex WAN, LAN, and Wireless solutions
• Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP and routing protocols (such as BGP, OSPF, PBR), LAN/WAN technologies, including VLAN, VXLAN, VRF, QoS, SD-WAN, IPSEC, STP.
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing Cisco and Arista BGP EVPN VXLAN Data Center Solutions.
• Proven track record in managing and configuring F5 LTM/GTM with BIG-IQ.
• Strong hands-on experience in managing PaloAlto Firewall infrastructure.

What is desirable:

• Experience with Radware Alteon and Citrix Netscaler.
• Familiarity with cloud networks such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and Azure.
