A leading and dynamic player in the food manufacturing industry, this growing organisation is seeking a talented and visionary New Product Development Manager to join their creative team. Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the general manager and as part of the senior leadership team you will be responsible for:
- Hands on development of New Products from ideation and sampling to scaling up for production and commercialisation.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and consumer preferences, translating them into winning product strategies.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure that product messaging and positioning align with consumer desires and market trends.
- Work closely with manufacturing to ensure seamless transition from development to production, maintaining product integrity.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements and technologies to continuously improve our product offerings.
- Provide technical support to operations staff during the production process.
Qualifications & experience
- A minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in New Product Development within the food manufacturing industry with either a food sciences or chef background.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with customers, taking briefs from concept to commercialisation.
- Strong understanding of food trends, flavour profiles, and consumer preferences.
- Excellent project management abilities, ensuring timely and successful product launches.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with production, QA, purchasing and sales.
