We, NongHyup Bank (NH Bank), have recently opened the Sydney Branch (“Branch”) in Sydney CBD to run the wholesale banking business in Australia.
NH Bank is one of the largest retail and wholesale banks in Korea and expanding its global networks.
As a staff for a newly opened foreign ADI, you are expected to demonstrate teamwork and go-extra attitude for the Branch advancement. Also, you are ready to work autonomously, research and provide solutions to the Branch management as requested.
The Roles & Responsibilities
As a Treasury Analyst for NH Bank Sydney Branch, you will be performing all the Treasury tasks (incl. corporate deposits) required to assist the Head of Treasury. The core responsibilities will include, although not limited to:
Monitoring the day-to-day cash flows and the cash positions while managing the Branch’s liquidity portfolio within the limits specified in the relevant policies, and also entering into deals necessary to ensure adequate liquidity for the Branch
Entering into short and mid/long-term funding transactions through money market facilities, NCDs, TCDs, etc (including funding through brokers)
Establishing and maintaining credit lines with key financing partners, including the Head Office and other commercial banking institutions for funding and investing
Communicating with the target counterparties in an effective and amiable manner to maintain and expand the funding networks
Producing daily and monthly reports related to the deposit and treasury business of the Branch
Assisting the Head of Treasury with preparation of timely and accurate reporting to Head Office and local authorities such as APRA and ATO
Assisting the Head of Treasury with preparation and submission of reports and data requested by internal or external parties
Preparing presentation materials for management or investors
Performing the activities of debt securities investment, corporate deposit taking and FX trading
Ad-hoc portfolio analysis and other treasury related tasks or projects
Qualifications & Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field (commerce, finance or accounting) or any degree with experiences in the relevant industries
- Bilingual in English and Korean – written and verbal
- Highly proficient in MS Excel and intermediate or higher level of MS Word &
Powerpoint skills
- CA, CPA, CFA or other relevant professional membership holder preferred
- No restriction to work full time permanently in Australia
