The Albion Hotel is seeking a dynamic and motivated hospitality employee for the position of Night Manager. As a local family owned and operated hotel, we offer opportunities for those seeking to further their professional careers in the Hospitality and Gaming Industry. A true locals pub where punter's can enjoy a drink and bite to eat in the Trackside Bar, Garden or Bistro where great service and a relaxed atmosphere make everyone feel at home. As a Night Manager you will be responsible for supporting and assisting the Venue Manager along with the Gaming Manager in the leadership of the nightly operation of the gaming room. Driving exceptional customer service in the gaming room you will also monitor gaming operations to ensure all gaming policies are adhered to by team members and guests alike.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated ability to implement and champion the venue's Responsible Gambling Code
- Experience in supervising and performing gaming / wagering and cash handling duties
- Strong communication skills and passion to deliver a consistent, high-level guest experience
- Coordinate team development and trainings to ensure compliance and operational excellence
- Ability to detect problem gamblers and implement company procedures accordingly
- Current RSA and RSG/RCG are essential
- Current approved Responsible Persons Badge
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests to the gaming room, assisting them with any inquiries and providing information about gaming options and promotions.
- Monitor the operation of gaming machines, ensuring they are functioning properly and reporting any issues or malfunctions to management.
- Process payouts for winning guests, following established procedures and ensuring accuracy and integrity in all transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the gaming room and venue including regular cleaning and sanitization of gaming machines and surrounding areas.
- Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding responsible gaming practices, including age verification and intervention in cases of problem gambling.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests throughout the venue.
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a gaming or entertainment environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and team members in a professional and courteous manner.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
- Ability to work a seven day rotating roster including weekends, and public holidays, as needed.
