Provide contemporary comprehensive Specialist Geriatric services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes delivering a healthy community through quality care . Provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

Where you'll be working
The Tweed Hospital is currently transitioning to the new Tweed Valley Hospital with a move date in May 2024.
The Tweed Hospital provides a range of healthcare services to the public including: acute and emergency care, surgical services, women’s care and newborn services, cancer and haematology services, intensive and coronary care units, Mental Health inpatient facilities, Aboriginal Health, and Allied Health Outpatient Clinics. As a regional referral Level 5 base hospital, we work closely with hospitals in Northern NSW and tertiary hospitals in Southern Queensland to support the healthcare needs of our community.
Murwillumbah District Hospital is a local community hospital established in 1903 providing a range of services including: Emergency Department, Operating Suite, Day Surgery, Medical and Surgical Inpatient Units, a Women’s Ambulatory Care Unit comprising Birth Centre, Antenatal Clinic and Gynaecology Clinic, and a well-appointed rehabilitation unit.
Byron Central Hospital provides a range of services including: emergency services, mental health, birthing and maternity services, and ambulatory and allied health services.

Tweed Valley Hospital Development
The NSW Government is investing 723.3 million in health for the Tweed Valley to deliver a new state-of-the-art facility with more beds and increased healthcare services, along with interim upgrades at The Tweed Hospital.
