What you'll be doing
The Nurse Manger is responsible for the management and leadership of consumer care within the NBMLHD Mental Health Service, both inpatient and community in the Adult Mental Health Stream with a view of supporting the consumer journey across the lifespan. The Nurse Manger provides operational and professional leadership for staff in the planning, development and evaluations of services, practice, and standards to ensure safe, efficient, timely and effective healthcare is delivered to consumers. The position is used as an authority and provider of sound operational clinical advice and nursing leadership for the NBMLHD Mental Health Service.An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.About us:

Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.Selection Criteria to be addressed: * Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

• Holds or working towards relevant Management and/or Mental Health post-graduate tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate to the position.
• Demonstrates leadership skills and the ability to motivate, inspire and organise staff to achieve organisational, service, and professional standards, including the ability to manage conflict and performance issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, allocate and evaluate organisational and nursing resources, including finance and human resources.
• Demonstrated ability to manage change and guide others through change process.
• Demonstrated experience in managing key priorities and delivering successful strategies to deliver service outcomes and KPIs within tightly defined resources.
• Evidence of commitment to consumer-focused care, clinical governance, and quality improvements.
• Current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to use for work related travel.
