About this role
You'll be joining the largest public health system in Australia and contribute to a world-class health system in NSW.
This role is a newly created additional role within the Regulation and Compliance Unit.
The role is focused on matters related to the licensing and conduct of Private Health facilities, response to incidents, and enforcement of the Private Health Facilities Act and Regulation, to ensure appropriate and consistent standards of health care and professional practice is maintained, and contributes to the overall levels of safety, care, and quality of life for patients.
Nurse Manager 3, starting salary from $135,591 - $138,111 p.a (pro rata) plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing
You’ll develop and maintain relationships with and engage key staff within Private Health facilities to promote consistent standards of health care and professional practice that contributes to the overall levels of safety, care, and quality of life for patients.
Working as part of a broader team, you’ll monitor and periodically assess the effectiveness of individual Private Health facilities’ management of their obligations under the Private Health Facilities Act and Regulation and provide critical and constructive feedback to licensees on the outcomes from those assessments.
You’ll also support the Principal Analyst in the review and management of licence applications, transfers, modifications, and renewals, and commission new facilities and alterations to existing facilities.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Current Australian registration as a nurse (Division 1) and/or midwife and appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience and training.
- Current drivers licence.
- Demonstrated high level skills in the coordination, development, implementation and review of proactive programs in the areas of quality, safety, or regulatory compliance in the health sector.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and related policy frameworks.
