About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a nurse with demonstrated leadership and management qualities, to join us in a Nurse Manager (NM) position in our Specialist Clinic team at Casey Hospital.
This is an ongoing full-time role, Monday to Friday. With no night or weekend shifts, your weekday will be surrounded by an established team of nurses, clinicians, clerical staff and medical workforce staff from a range of specialties.
As NM, you are responsible for providing active and visible clinical leadership, in a hands-on capacity. You will support safe, high quality, evidence-based nursing care. Your management will compliment Monash Health's strategic initiatives and ensure ongoing financial sustainability and efficient service delivery by maintaining the budget. You will be driving process improvements and balancing the current demands for service and timeliness of care, with opportunities for growth and expansion.
This position will work closely with the Director of Clinical Operations (DCO) and Administration Operations Manager to ensure the efficient management of the Specialist Consulting Clinic. You will be engaged in a range of projects, liaising with stakeholders, and applying your change management skills to implement and support models of care that ensure streamlined and effective access to services, service delivery and coordinated care.

About You
Thriving in a dynamic and fast paced environment, you bring an enthusiastic and driven perspective, having confidence in decision making and steadily resolving escalations that arise through a shift. In addition to your superior communication skills (verbal and written), you will have people and financial management expertise. You are committed to patient care and outcomes.
You relish the opportunity to lead and develop teams and have been establishing your management skills OR you are an accomplished Nurse Manager looking for an exciting new role, you are ready to take this next step in your career at Monash Health.
What You Need:
- Demonstrated acute clinical nursing experience
- Clinical leadership and/or management experience within a hospital setting
- An understanding of the essentials of quality improvement, recognising opportunities and initiatives and to be accountable for and manage the action
- Computer technical competency working with electronic patient/medical records, supporting the unit with changes and training when required
